In this competition, which will certainly test the boundaries of the participants' creativity, six designers will be given the same materials and will have to complete their design within seven minutes. Attendees will judge the competition and the winner will receive a gift basket valued at $100. Create a Bonsai Workshop Sunday, March 30, 1:00 PM Location - in the Garden Display Area (please ask for specific location at the information booth located in the lobby)
Mohawk Hudson Bonsai Society invites the public to create a bonsai with the assistance of its society members. On Sunday afternoon at one PM you may create a small Shimpaku Juniper Bonsai. Society members will teach the participants how to create and care for their bonsai. The newly created bonsai will not be potted in a bonsai pot at this workshop but will be done at a later date at a society meeting. The fee for this workshop which covers the cost of materials is $25. All ages welcome. Very limited registration. To register call Pauline Muth at 518.882.1039 before March 23.
