Class 1: "A Rainy Day" (5 entries) Create a design with one or more umbrellas as the focal point. The umbrellas should be covered with all botanical materials (ie: petals, pods, seeds, leaves) - nothing artificial! The base will be 48" w x 36" d with a backdrop that is 30" w x 72" h which must be covered and/or draped. Advisor for this class is Maureen Peters (653-3539).
Class 2: "Wild Willow" (6 entries) Create large a armature design using curly willow and create an arrangement in the armature which will support a floral design of your choosing. No height limit. Base should not exceed 5’ x 5’. Advisor for this class is Michele Peters (446-9900).
Class 3: "Loco Logo" (6 entries) Create a pave' design of a popular logo from 1988. Fresh or dried flowers and greens permitted. Staged on a table, in a space 30" wide by 24" deep. Advisor for this class is Marilyn Cederoth (965-0552).
Class 4: "Design of the Decade" (5 entries) Create an interpretive design depicting one of the following years: 1920 - 1940 - 1960 - 1980 - 2000. Five accessories permitted. Additional use of fabric is not considered an accessory. To be staged on a table with a 36" diameter top x 42 " tall. Advisor for this class is Marilyn Cederoth (965-0552).
Class 5: "Then and Now" (6 entries) Create 2 designs using the same flowers; one showcasing 1988 and one 2012, showing the evolution of the design style over the last 24 years. Staged on a cube 24" wide x 24" deep x 36" high. Draping is permitted. Advisor for this class is Maureen Peters (653-3539).
Class 6: "Lets Go To The Movies" (5 entries) Create a vignette paying homage to your favorite movie from the 1980's. Flower style to depict movie. To be staged on a table with a 36" diameter top x 42" tall. Advisor for this class is Maureen Peters (653-3539).
Class 7: "The Glass Menagerie" (6 entries) Create a monochromatic design using clear glass vessels. Glass needs to be the dominant element of the design. Some greens or branches will be permitted. Staged on a table, in a space 30" wide by 24" deep. Advisor for this class is Chris Grigas (577-7101).
Class 8: "Mono & Mono" (6 entries) Create a monochromatic monobotanical design. No greens or fillers permitted. To be staged on a pedestal 37" tall, with a 16" square top. Pedestal must be draped by designer. Advisor for this class is Michele Peters (446-9900).
Class 9: "China Pattern" (6 entries) Using a plain plate or platter, create a two dimensional (flat) china pattern using pressed botanical and/or flowers. Participants must provide own plate and stand. To be staged on a pedestal 37" tall, with a 12" square top. Pedestal must be draped. Advisor for this class is Erin Brady (784-2315).
Class 10: "Go Green" (4 entries) Create a free form design using only foliage and/or moss. No flowers permitted on this one! To be staged on a pedestal 37" tall, with a 12" square top. Designer must drape the pedestal to enhance the design. Advisor for this class is Erin Brady (784-2315). CLASS FULL
Class 11: "Double Vision" (6 entries) Create an Ikebana inspired design, to include mirrors, to be provided by the designer. To be staged on a pedestal 30 1/2" tall, with a 18" square top. Advisor for this class is Chris Grigas (577-7101).
Class 12: NON JUDGED "Bridal Bouquet" (10 entries) To be staged on a 15" square table space. Designers must provide vessel for water. Advisor for this class is Erin Brady (784-2315).
Class 13 - 15 for Students only, Advisor, Meg Bugler (527-7892)
Class 13: Create a Free Form arrangement in a watering can to be staged on a 15" square table space.
Class 14: Create an arrangement using your favorite sports team colors in a basket to be staged on a 15" square table space.
Class 15: Create a futuristic design using colored Oasis and wire to be staged on a 15" square table space.
